Scope of the bookCentral to this book is to bring together the insights of the SUS.DIV network on sustainable diversity. It aims are 1) to improve our understanding of how cultural diversity may contribute (or not) to sustainability, addressing the impact of cultural diversity on central notions to sustainability such as human welfare, development, social cohesion, integration, creativity, innovation…. and 2) to improve our understanding of forms of cultural interactions and processes, and various types of initiatives and structures that contribute to creating spaces and communities where cultural diversity can unfold in a positive way. The chapters address these two central questions in three arenas: nations, cities and organizations.
