Subject:New H2020 project SANCUS focusing on AI defence automation kicks off!

eBOS Technologies, as partner in the EU-Funded Project SANCUS, participates in the Kick-off meeting that took place virtually on 10-11th of September 2020.

This project joins the forces of 15 partners from 8 European countries over the course of three years, where they will combine their industrial, technological and academic knowledge and expertise for the project’s unified aim of developing an “analySis softwAre scheme of uNiform statistiCal sampling, aUdit and defence proceSses”. The main concept draws on formalising the logic of cyber security and digital privacy by means of formulas, and fusing them into optimisation strategies to acquire optimum and dynamic defense recommendation, within the telecommunications network environment in real-time.

The proposed scheme resides on six unique engines, which combine modelling of the Internet of Things units, cutting-edge methods for automated firmware and software validation and verification, and innovative Artificial Intelligence driven game techniques for the automated optimisation of the control and trust of digital services.
Project coordinator is global high technology leader Thales Group, headquartered in Paris, France. At Thales, Dr. Hicham Khalife led the two-day seminar that started with a general overview and the expectations of SANCUS, whereafter each partner presented their own company and their role in the project. At the end of the presentations, open discussions took place that added value, as well as identified future plans for the sustained impact of the project’s outcome.

eBOS will be undertaking the role of the Dissemination and Communication manager of the SANCUS project. eBOS will design, implement, and maintain the project’s website, prepare and publish press releases, social media posts, and web articles. In addition, eBOS will liaise with a wide range of interested stakeholders in Europe, as well as participate in at least two industrial exhibitions and conferences to present the project and its innovation.
Furthermore, eBOS will be involved in the following main activities:

  • Identification and classification of security concerns in the Original Equipment Manufacturer supply chain;
  • Contributing to the SANCUS system demonstration, validation and integration;
  • Elaboration of a compelling evidence-based business plan for the SANCUS innovation.

“Following the fruitful launch meeting, the partners reflected with a positive outlook towards the future implementation of the project. Through this project, eBOS aims to enhance and contribute to cutting edge innovations in automated optimisation of the control and trust of digital services.” Said Dr. George Guirgis, R&D Project Manager at eBOS Technologies.

Updates and news will be frequently posted on the project’s website during the course of the project, which will last three years. (Until the official website launch, the project’s factsheet is available at https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/952672

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 952672.
