Subject:eBOS holds workshop to review initial progress achieved in the Living Labs of the ICONET project
Validation of innovative technologies around the Physical Internet concept is moving forward in the EU-funded H2020 ICONET project. On December 3, 2019, eBOS Technologies, as leader of the work package dedicated to the Living Labs, held a workshop hosted by the Port of Antwerp, Belgium, to evaluate the progress and developments of the Living Labs, discuss the technical integration efforts and evaluate the way forward.

’The Living Labs lie at the very heart of the ICONET project with the ultimate goal to test and evaluate the project’s innovations while identifying areas to be further explored. eBOS Technologies is responsible for the monitoring and management of the Living Labs. This one-day workshop is therefore the perfect opportunity to assess progress made and plan future work in line with the project’s objectives’’, Philippos Philippou said.

In addition, the workshop offered insights into the practical use of the technologies with the aim of providing consolidated feedback to other work packages, in particular the Cloud-based PI Control and Management work package led by IBM.

ICONET (New ICT infrastructure and reference architecture to support Operations in future PI Logistics NETworks) is an EU funded project under Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme which aims at extending the research and development around the Physical Internet (PI) concept, which will offer an innovative way of transporting physical goods across the Supply Chain.
