Subject:eBOS Technologies sponsors Bank Compliance events jointly organised by the Cyprus International Businesses Association and Bank of Cyprus

Minimizing exposure to financial fraud and terrorism-financing activities while also maintaining and fulfilling regulatory compliance, stand as everyday top priorities for financial, audit, fiduciary, legal, investment and insurance professionals.

On the 11th and 12th of December 2019, eBOS proudly sponsored the organisation of two high-profile events jointly organised by the Cyprus International Businesses Association (CIBA) and the Bank of Cyprus in Nicosia and Limassol.

Participants were briefed on the relevant provisions of the legal and regulatory framework with regard to addressing money laundering and terrorist financing risks, with a focus on the Central Bank of Cyprus’ supervisory role. 
The agenda included welcoming speeches by CIBA President, Mrs. Doxia Nikia Hadjivassiliou, and Director Group Compliance Bank of Cyprus, Mr. Marios Skandalis. The audience was then addressed by Mr Marios Neoptolemou, Acting Assistant Director, Supervision Division, Central Bank of Cyprus on the «Legal and Regulatory AML/CFT Compliance framework from the CBC perspective: the need to analyze and assess risks» and Mrs. Niki Charilaou, Manager Financial Crime Compliance Department, on Compliance issues.

Panos Kyriakides, eBOS Commercial Manager, and Fanos Christofi, eBOS Managing Director & Founder, were also in attendance and had the opportunity to network and discuss with participants how ICT solutions like the WiseBOS RiSC and Screening solutions can assist with complying with the legal and regulatory framework on money laundering and terrorist financing risks.
