The aim of the seminar was to enhance awareness and understanding of the Mandatory Disclosure Regime (‘’MDR’’), as this is provided by EU Council Directive 2011/16 (‘’DAC6 Directive’’), as well as indicating applicable challenges and means to address them.

The completion of the seminar gave a clearer view to all participants and made it easier to comprehend how to:

Recognise the status and main provisions of the EU Directive and the applicable Cypriot legislation
Comprehend the elements of reportable cross border arrangements with particular reference to the reporting mechanism to be established by the relevant legislation
Increase the ability to identify the impact of the DAC6 rules
Critically apply those rules in their daily functions by facilitating assessment of the different arrangements for which they may be called to participate as intermediaries in their everyday operations
