eBOS R&D team mobilised for the Cyprus Launch Event of Horizon Europe

On April 7, 2021, the eBOS R&D team actively participated in the National Digital Launch Event for Horizon Europe.

The event which was organized by the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy of Cyprus, was celebrating the official launch of the next Framework Programme for Research & Innovation (R&I) in Cyprus, bringing together speakers from the European Commission and the national R&I ecosystem.

It included interventions from Mr. Kyriakos Kokkinos, the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, Cyprus, Ms. Mariya Gabriel the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth and Mr. Jean-Eric Paquet, Director General of DG Research and Innovation, as well as other political and governmental officials. The aim was to mobilize the local research and entrepreneurial community for the Horizon Europe and its articulation with national R&I initiatives.

Dr Loizos Christofi, R&D Director, Ms. Gotelenne Piaton, R&D Program and Communication Manager, Dr Konstantina Panagiotou, Program Manager/Researcher and Dr Andrianos M. Yiorkas, Program Manager/Researcher, actively took part in the event, the panel discussions and interactive sessions where the main activity lines, the novelties and the keys to success in Horizon Europe were presented. Good practices on how to enhance the commercialization of research results and foster business creation, inter alia, via exploiting opportunities offered by the Horizon Europe, were also discussed.

On this occasion, Dr Loizos Christofi provided a video testimonial, reflecting on the successful participation of eBOS in the EU-funded Framework Programmes for Research & Innovation and the wealth of opportunities in Horizon Europe for SMEs like eBOS Technologies. “Our participation in the Horizon 2020 programme has been instrumental to the scale up of the company. We are really honored to be positioned as the second participant in the programme amongst all enterprises in Cyprus. Today, we look forward to joining Horizon Europe, where we intend to maintain our passion for excellence by further improving our performance and technological knowhow.
