The ISTOLOGIA project has developed an ontology based software platform supporting:

• collection of information from differences sources using intelligent agents;
• dissemination of information based on a hierarchy of significances linked to company profiles.

Based on ISTOLOGIA, eBOS has developed an Ontology Management System enabling corporations to use different ontologies to handle cross corporation communication needs based on ontologies mappings where the jointly agreed semantics are specified.

The Ontology Management System (OMS) includes ontology editing, ontology mapping, ontology versioning and ontology inference functionalities.
